Previous Fords owned: Not too much to mention XA,XF and an XE all pretty standard.
Family Details: Girlfriend no children, thats why all the cars
How did you get into Fords: My Father was a manager at a Ford Dealership in Canberra when I was growing up in the seventies. I Can still remember the new GTs and Fairlanes arriving home. The white XA was originally purchased from that dealer.
What do like most about owning your Ford: You are not going to drive around the corner and see another one the same and also getting thumbs up from Ford fans when you drive it is great.
If you could change anything on it, what would it be: Manual instead of Auto, but I'll leave them original.
How did you find your current car: Found the XA in Just Cars Magazine, car was in Sydney, I flew down checked it out and drove it back to Alice Springs . It took three days and the Car didn't miss a beat also got to drive around Mount Panarama. The XB was in Palmerston and advertised in the trading post, I just beat Michelle Benton to it, and she still hasn't recovered, and for next time No Michelle I'm not ready to sell it yet.
Most memorable Ford moment: I love the Ford one two at Bathurst, but recently its great to see ford on the right track with the BA GTs and Turbos. They lost their way for a while in the 80s and 90s
Best road for driving the Ford: Without power steering on the XA, I would say anywhere in a straight line is good, and not too far away from a servo.
Motor sport interests: V8 super cars would be No 1, but ill watch anything with a motor and wheels
Your ideal Ford would be: Wild Violet RPO 83 XA GT or of course a Red Phase 4 XAGT
If you had to own a car other than a Ford, it would be: Holden or a Valiant, I really like the GTRs and HQ Monaros
Should Ford bring back the GTHO: Yes, but it would have to be special. Maybe with a blower like the Shelby GT500 in the states. And it would have to quicker than any Holden just like the original.
Favorite Club event: Track days or cruising
A car you would never own: A little Jap ladies car with a flash paint job, big wheels and a huge 8 stainless steel tail pipe and you can forget the doof doof music
Favorite Bathurst moment: Their next win hopefully this year
Fastest speeding fine: Not too exciting from memory about 100 in an 80 zone, but I have been very lucky and no I don't get let off, I hate speed cameras as well.
Other interests: Motorbike riding, road and dirt
Football team: AFL Nth Melbourne / NRL Cowboys
Four people you would share a meal with: Ambrose and Murphy and Ingall and Scaiffe , after a few beers they should be able to put on a good show.
Other sports interests: Any kind of motor sport, speedway, rally etc
Most admired person: Don't think less of me but I don't mind little Johnny Howard
Best holiday spot: Anywhere with a beach that you can swim in.
